Competition Class Policy

Students participating in Competition Classes are required to maintain their commitment to regular weekly Taekwondo classes in addition to their competition training.

Competition classes are designed to enhance performance, refine technique, and prepare students for tournaments—but they are not a substitute for regular curriculum classes. Core classes focus on foundational skills, poomsae, sparring drills, self-defense, and belt level requirements, all of which are essential for overall development and eligibility for belt testing.

Why Regular Classes Matter:

Ensure students stay on track with their belt curriculum

  • Reinforce fundamental techniques that support competition success

  • Promote well-rounded martial arts development

  • Build discipline, consistency, and long-term progress

Students who do not consistently attend their regular classes may lose eligibility to participate in upcoming competitions, demonstrations, or may be asked to step back from the competition program.

Commitment to both is essential for growth, progress, and success both in the ring and on the mat.
